A Ball Has Been Arranged By Community Stores Ltd.
The ball to be held on August 22 in the De Luxe hall by the Community Stores, Ltd., of Palmerston North, promises to be a brilliant function. Three colours arc to be used for the special decorations, whilo balloons, confetti and novelties will introduce the spirit of gaiety to the function. Excellent music will be supplied by a leading orchestra of ton, and there will be good prizes for novelty dances. A delectable supper will bo served, five sittings having been arranged for, while sour) will' also be served at 1 a.m. There will be cloakroom attendants. ■ A double ticket is priced at Os; it-being anticipated that car-loads of patrons will arrive from Napier, New Plymouth, Wellington, Taihape, Wanganui, Mastcrton, etc. Not only are patrons assured of their money’s worth, but they will also be helping a good cause, as proceeds will go to augment the Mayor’s Relief Fund.
