Due to Error of Judgment by Pilot
j FINDING REGARDING FATAL CRASH AT WELLINGTON WELLINGTON, Juno 16. “The Court is of the opinion that the I accident to ZKAAL was due to an error of judgment on the part of the pilot, Ernest Robert Boucher, in entering a cloud bank voluntarily, which could have been avoided, 7 ’ state® the principal elans® of the finding of the Board of Inquiry concerning the circumstances of the accident to the Auckland Aero Club 'plane at Hawkin’s Hill, Wellington, on March 16, resulting in the death of Boucher. The Board drew attention to the great danger of aloud flying in New Zealand, owing to the topography of the country and the rapidly changing meteorological conditions which may be enoountored in a comparatively short flight.
