Danish, 86s per cwt.; choicest salted New Zealand, 79s to 80s; Australian, 755; unsalted butters arc about 2s per cwt. premium. Cheese is in good demand. New Zealand, white 49s Gd to 50s per cwt.; coloured, 475. Australian, none offering. SALE OF PUREBRED SOUTHDOWN EWES. At the Showgrounds, Palmerston North, on Friday, the N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Gov., Ltd., offered 100 stud 2-tootn Southdown ewes on account ox P. E. WaLJ, Hatuma. 'ilia sheep, which were of particularly good quality and in splendid order, met with a reauy mantel, competition being well maintained throughout the sale.
