Tiie honorary director of tho Christchurch Central Belief Depot, Mr. T. M. Cape Williamson, has been exonerated by Mr. A. T. Donnelly on charges made against him of favouritism and inefficiency. Mr. Donnelly, in his report to the Mayor (Mr. D. G. Sullivan, M.P.) states that, although in his opinion the complaints against the director had not been established, yet the policy and methods of the Central Depot, its relationship with other depots, and with local authorities, the Labour Department, the Mayor, and the City Council officers, could be, and should bo, improved.
