Rangitikei County Estimates

INCREASED BATES FOR THREE RIDINGS. Tho Rangitikci County Council met in- Marton on Thursday afternoon under the chairmanship of Mr. K. W. Dalrymplc and passed the estimates for the ensuing year. In three cases— Otakapu, Otairi and Awarua ridings—increases of l-16dwcro made, but other riding rates remain the same. Tho rates last year and this year’s estimates are as under: — Rangitoto: 1033-34, id; 193-1-35, id. Otakapu: 1933-34, 5/lCd; 1934-35, 3d. Porewa: 1933-34, 5/lCd; 1934-35, 5/16d. Wangaehu: 1933-34, id; 1934-35, id. Rangatira: 1.933-34, 5/16d; 1934-35, 5/16d. Tc Kapua: 1933-34, 7/10d; 1934-35, 7/lGd. Awarua: 1933-34, 3d; 1934-35, 7/10d. Erewhon: 1933-34, 5/16d; 1934-35, 5/16d. Ruanui: 1933-34, 5/16d; 1934-35, 5/16d. The amount received in rates last year and the estimated revenue for 1934-35 is:—
