From Our Own Correspondent. A fair sprinkling of spectators witnessed the Rongomai v. Nlreana match played under ideal conditions on the _local Held on Saturday. Clark and also the backs S. Richards, R. Graham and A Judd. It. McDonald rotlred hurt shortly after die commencement, being replaced by B. Lozell for Nireaha, Aftei the match tho visitors were entertained to afternoon tea by the local ladies, when cheers were exchanged. A pleasant social evening was held in the school last Wednesday evening following tho double wedding of that day. A big crowd was in attendance. Mr. Marenzl and Mr. Itowden wero the musicians, while Mr. H. Schneil acted us M.C. The honoured four, Mr. and Mrs. Sellers and Mr. and Mrs. Baines, were present for the early part of the evening. On Monday night the social committee held a meeting when it was decided to carry on with the fortnightly bridge evenings, the last one being postponed on account of other amusements. It was decided to hold over the matter of having an electric light placed in tho ladies room until a later meeting. After arranging for a danco for the future the meeting closed with a vote of thanks to Mr. Matheson who presided.
