SOME WITHDKAWALS. LONDON, May; 8. Offerings at the London wool sales to-day wero 9921) bales, including 4193 bales New Zealand. About 5695 bales wero sold. There were larger and better selections with lair competition. Prices were steady, although withrawals wero rather frequent, especially of speculators’ lots. New Zealand wool sold included:— Scoured halfbred combing, “ Allendale, ” 32d per lb. highest, 26 1-8 average; halfbred lamb slipc, “Feilding over TBS,” 171 d highest and 14|d average. HIGH LIMITS IN LONDON. LONDON, May 7. Offerings at the May London series of wool sales to-day wero 6686 bales, including 2302 bales New Zealand. About 2720 bales were sold. Quieter market conditions prevail, with numerous withdrawals on sellers’ high limits. Those lines that were sold realised steady rates. Realisations included:—New Zca land, greasy merino, “Brancott, ” 19d highest, average; scoured merinos, “iiracmar,” 33d highest, 32-)d average.
