Two building permits for work valued at £790 were issued in the Manawatu County last month. A sharp earthquake shock was experienced in Tedding at about 6.5 a.m. yesterday.
At a meeting of parents of children attending the Manchester Street School it was decided to form a parents’ association, when the following officers were elected: —President, Mr C. Lashlie; secretary, Mr G. J. Fitzpatrick; committee, Mesdam.es S. McDowell, P. G. Guy, C. Lashlie and Messrs S. Mcdowell, I>. G. Guy, McGill, Jas. Campbell, E. P. llosking, W. Thomas, R. 11. Buchanan, Tremaine and J. C. Whibi'ey, with power to add.
