Why Didn’t They Dine Together ?
(To the Editor.) Sir, —As a farmer interested financially in the local factory of Vacuum Products (N.Z.), Ltd., I was invited to attend the opening of the above on October 2S. Why was it so arranged that tho factory management, M.P.’s, etc., dined separately from the farmers? It reminded me of a story. An M.P. once pointed out to his little daughter a “cow cocky” feeding his stock. She inquired: “"Which is the 'cow cocky and which arc the cows; docs the 'cow' cocky’ eat grass, too, father?” Father: “No, dear; but its good enough for them!” I am, etc., “DISGUSTED.”
