Concert at Regent Theatre

A fine concert was held last evening at tho Regent Theatre in aid of the Public Services Queen candidate (Miss Richards). The main features of a delightful programme were the songs rendered by Mr. W. Crewcs, of Wellington, and Cluny MacPhcrson and his band. Artists who assisted were as follow: — Mr. W. Crowes sang “Smugglers’ Song,” “Stock Riders”; Mrs. L. Potter sang “Live For All Your Worth,” Mr. J. Jones “Waiata Poi,” Mrs. Keith Jones, “Have You Ever Been Lonely?” and “Sally” by special request. Cluny MacPhcrson and his Ambassador Stage Band played a number of items whidh were received with great applause. At the conclusion of tho concert programme pictures were screened. Despite the inclement weather there was a good attendance of the public.
