i. Sarraut Announces His Cabinet
RADICAL SOCIALISTS IN THE MAJORITY
United Press Association-—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Received Friday, 7.30 p.m. PARIS, Oct. 26. M. Sarraut has completed his Cabinet. He is to be Prime Minister arid Minister of the Interior. The others are:— Foreign Affairs: M. Paul-Boncour. War: M. Daladier. Finance: M. Bonnot. Justice: M. Dalimier. Budget: M. Abelgardey. Agriculture: M. Queuille. Commerce: M. Laurent-Eynac. Public Works: M. Paganon. Labour: M. Frot. Education: M. Demonzie. Colonies: M. Pictri. Marine: M. Jacques Stern. Mercantile Marine: M. Rio. Air: M. Pierre Cot. Post and Telegraphs: M. Mistier. Pensions: M. Ducos. Public Health: M. Lisbonnc. Most of the new Ministers are Radical Socialists. M. Sarraut announced at a, party conference that he was not changing France’s foreign policy. “We want no two-power or three-power conferences with Germany. We intend to follow the path of Geneva.” He added that he proposed to decrease, not increase taxation, believing that more business meant more revenue. The meeting enthusiastically endorsed the policy. Bare Vote of Confidence Anticipated Received Friday, 10 p.m. LONDON, Oct. 27. The British United Press’ Paris correspondent says that M. Sarraut reckons on obtaining a vote of confidence by a slim majority when he presents his Cabinet in the Chamber next week. All the new Ministers, except MM. Pietri, Lisbonne, Mistier, Ducos and Stern, were in the Daladier Cabinet.
