From Our Own Correspondent. The combined efforts of the members of the Pohangina Valley Cricket and Tennis Clubs to organise a dance to assist with the funds for the farmers’ Queen, were very successful when a most enjoyable dance was held in the Raumai hall on Monday evening. There was a record attendance and although the night was cold, it proved ideal ror dancing- and the function, which was kept at full swing until the early hours, proved one of the happiest ever held. A professional orchestra from Feildiug supplied splendid music for old-time and modern dances. Supper was provided by the ladies present, and the lady members of the tennis club proved ideal hostesses. Among the ladies present were Mesdames J. D. Balmer, wearing black satin; W.
