Inflation Opposed By American Labour
CRITICISM OF NATIONAL RECOVERY ACT WASHINGTON, Oct. 12. The A.F.L. (American Federation of Labour) approved resolutions to-day opposing inflation, declaring that it would bring “tho greatest possible harm” to wage-earners. The A.F.L. also criticised some of the policies of tho N.R.A., demanding more Labour representations on N.R.A. boards and committees; also asking for adequate unemployment relief this winter.
Tho resolution urged President Roosevelt to restore salary reductions to Government workers at the earliest possible time.
