City Band Holds Successful Concert

DELIGHTFUL PROGRAMME RENDERED IN OPERA HOUSE

There was a full house at the Opera House last evening for the concert arranged by the City Band in aid of its uniform fund. McCulloch; song, Mr. Tabor; lightning sketches, Mr. McGilvray; selection, City Band; duet, humorous, Miss Doreen Saunders and Mr. Tabor; item, steel guitar, Mr. R. Winiata; song, Mrs. Russell Scoular; item, Harmonica Band; elocution, Miss Doreen Saunders; song, Master Jamieson; selection, City Band; "God Save the King. The accompanist was Mrs. McNeilly.

Several new features were introduced, and encores were demanded with great frequency. The visitors were soon at homo with the Palmerston North audience,, and contributed many happy moments. At the conclusion thanks were expressed on behalf of the band for the generous support accorded them.
