Mrs Strickland returned to Lower Hutt on Saturday after a visit to Mrs G. A. Forrest, Queen street. Mrs A. Nelson, who was the guest of Mrs F. Cooke, Fitzherbcrt avenue, for a week, returned to Pahiatua on Thursday. Mrs Stanton Harcourt, of Hobson street, Wellington, has returned from a visit to her daughter, Mrs Brian Keiller, of Palmerston North. Mr and Mrs Gordon Bennett, who have been staying at tbo rest home, Manawatu Heads, Foxton beach, have returned to their home in Palmerston North. Miss A. E. Jeromo Spencor and Miss Lillie Large, who attended the conference of rural women’s organisations at Stockholm, and visited a number of Ked Cross centres in Europe, are back in England, and are now visiting women’s institutes. Tlioy were both present at the party given by the New Zealand Women's Association in honour of Mrs. Forbes and Mrs. Masters.
