Spring Bride in Ivory Satin Beaute

EDWARDS—STEPHENSON

A quiet but protty wedding was solemnised on Wednesday, September IS, at All Saints’ Church, Palmerston North, when Elsie, daughter of Mrs Anno Stephenson and tho late John Stephenson, of Blythe, England, was married to Alexander Stuant, son of Mr and Mrs W. Edwards, of Church street, Palmerston North. Rev. Canon G. Y. Woodward was the officiating clergyman. The bride, who entered the church escorted by her brother, Mr J. G. Stephenson, of Wellington, looked charming in an ankle-length frock of white satin beaute made princess style. The long veil was worn with a circlet of orange blossom and her bouquet was of spring flowers and maiden-hair fern. She was attended by Miss Daisie Edwards (sister of the bridegroom), who was dressed in an ankle-length frock of blue georgetto frilled ait the sldrt. Hat, shoes and silk lace mittens of buff shade were worn to complete the toilette. Her bouquet was of blue hyacinths and fern. The bouquets for tho occasion were kindly made by Mrs P. T. Griffin, a friend of the bride. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr Arthur Whiteman, of Newbury.

After the ceremony a reception was held at tho Broadway Lounge, only members of tho family attending. The happy couple left for their honeymoon, the bride travelling in a brown tailored costume with shoes and hait to match.
