Rongotea

Dear Hub—l hope you are well. The weather is very changeable, as a number of Cogs remarked, but don’t you think it is more interesting like that? I went to the Women’s Institute Drama Festival last week and enjoyed myself very much as prompter of tho Rongotea team. We all lost our hearts to Miss Elizabeth Blake and thought she was wonderful and very charming. I have finished reading" Riba of Ingleside” and I liked it best of tho “Anne” series. In snatches, lam naw reading "Further Chronicles of Avonlea “Which is of course written by L. M. Montgomery also. After this I am going to read “The Dark Milo” a book of the Scottish Highlands which I Lad recommended to mo by an Australian pen friend. Last Thursday afternoon wo. played a basketball match against Rosina and they entertained ns to afternoon tea and we had a splendid afternoon. Wo are playing Rosina against next Thursday at Eongotca so, oven though changeable weather is interesting, wo are hoping it is wine that. day. I went to a girl friend’splacc for tea last night it was her birthday tea- and I enjoyed myself very much. It was the Rongotea Bulb Show today and I was acting as steward in the Childrens’ Class and I found it very intersting indeed among the lovely blooms, I am knitting an orange cap to match my lemon and orange jumper and I don’t think I will knit any moTe after this is finished. As always, I enjoy Powder and Patches rhyming letter hough last week for the first few lines I was not sure wether it was a letter or advertisement Wood’s Peppermint Cure with the sneezes and wheezes. ”1 hope your wrist is quite better, Dusky Maiden. And Soapsuds, how is Mother getting on with her hikig? I think The-maidcn-all-forlom is very lucky having a fancy dress ball to look forward to, and I envy her. I tidied up my book-case the other evening and enjoyed myself mightily as I usually do when. I am surrounded by books, I hope this letter will not crush out any poor Cog and 1 feel Tather guilty for writing at such length, so hoping to see another jolly rhyming letter (including weather report) from Power and Patches in the page next Saturday, I’ll close with love to you and the Cogs aud, of course, Mr Printerman to make up for using so much space. “Topping”

Your letter was full of interest, mv dear, and so beautifully typed. What a busy person you aro. L.M. Montgom cry’s books aro splonded don’t yon think?
