McKelvie Cup Shooting

BULLS DEFEATS LONGBURN Last night Bulls and Longburn Miniature Rifle Clubs fired a match for the McKelvie Cup, the shoot taking place on the range of Longburn, the holders. The visitors proved successful by the margin of four points, scoring 10S9 to 10S5. Bulls were five points down on the first range, due to one of the visitors putting a shot on the wrong target. In the second round the Bulls men made a very strong stand and reduced their deficit to go in and secure a winning lead. W. Birch, president of the Longburn Club, shot splendidly for two possibles. Five men in the Bulls team shared top honours with 13S apiece. At the conclusion of the shoot the Bulls Club was entertained at supper and Mr B'irch prsented the cup to Mr S. Sharp, president of the Bulls Club, congratulating the visitors on their success. Mr Sharp responded, and said Bulls were perhaps a little fortunate.
