Navy Sense Strongly Developed in N.Z.
AUSTRALIAN SQUADRON’S VISIT Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last, Night. On all sides tributes are paid by officers and men of the xYustralian Squadron now visiting Wellington to the abounding hospitality they have received at the hands of New Zealand people, One officer on the Canberra said he had been amazed at tlio extraordinary enthusiasm shown for the Navy and the extraordinary kindness with which every ono had been received. The officers and men were still talking about the record crowd ot 32,000 which visited the Canberra at Lyttelton last week.
The officers arc keen that the “Navy sense,’’ apparently very strongly developed in New Zealanders, should be encouraged and are giving every reasonable facility for members of the public to inspect the vessels.
