From Our Own Correspondent Cricket Club's Meeting.

The annual general meeting of. Bulls Cricket Club was held on i' rutay evening', Mr. F. A. Holland p'-esmlr.g over a fair attendance of members. Jbe report for the previous season stated t.-iat the year had seen an improvement in the standard of cricket, particularly in regard to batting ancl bowling, ne.-lmg being still rather a weak point. The thanks of the club are due to tho Domain Board for their co-operation, the outfield and wicket being in much better condition ..than the previous season. Matches were played against the iollowing clubs Sanson, !Floclc I-louse, Oieatford, Terrace End, Rangitikei Factory, Mar ton Junction, Ngaio, Makowhai Camp and Oroua Downs, the club having a fanshare of wins. Thanks are also due to officers of the club and officials of other clubs, and to the Press for their continued support. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr. F. A. Holland; president, Mr. E. V. Wilson; vice-presidents, Colonel Powles, Dr. _F. J. Watson and Messrs H. Last Harris, h. J. Ellis, Geo. Ellis, K. W. Dalrymple, E. A. Caldow and H. Meads; joint secretaries, Messrs P. Jeffries, S. Sharp, L. Meads, D. Richardson and H. H. C. Holland. The subscription was fixed at os, and the meeting concluded with a Vote of thanks to the chairman. Rangitikei Lodge Meets.

Bro. F. J. Harris presided over a good attendance at the fortnightly meeting of the Rangitikei Ladge, 1.0.0. F., last week. Reference was made to the death of Mr. Charles Scales, and a motion of sympathy was passed with relatives of deceased. The proprietor of the, Wanganui Free Ambulance notified that the ambulance was available for use by mem* bers —Received. It was decided to hold a cliurch parade at the Presbyterian Church shortly, and a social evening was fixed for Tuesday, September 5, following the Rebeccah meeting. The first nomination for officers resulted as follows: N.G., Bro. T. Tooney; V.G., Bro. D. Kerr; rec. secretary, permanent secretary, Bro. K. Dwyer; treasurer, Bro. L. Hill. School Euchre and Dance. The combined euchre and dance held under the auspices of the Bulls and Ohakea school committees in the Bulls Town Hall on Friday evening was a very successful function, and a fitting finale to the season. Mrs. H. Stevens won the most games among the ladies, Mr. Alf. Wilson securing honours in the male division. A dance was held in the hall and this was also well patronised. A statue dance was put on and was won by Mr. W. Hart and Miss Hart. Mr. Denis Richardson contributed a song during the evening. The turkey competition was won by Mr. W. Klatt, of Parewanui, Little Boy injured. The young son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Wereta had the misfortune to hurt his head through a bad fall on Friday and he was taken to the hospital suffering from concussion.
