Mrs C. Louisson, North • street, is holidaying at Paekakariki with members of her family. Miss Margaret Stock, Hawora,- is staying with Mrs Holyer, Featkcrstone street. Miss D. Hamilton, who has been on a visit to Mangawcka, is back at Stan way. Miss Muriel Hayworth left Stanwaj on Thursday to take up a position on tho nursing staff of tho Palmerston North Hospital. Mrs Hamilton has returned to her homo at Mangawcka after some wcoks spent with her son, Mr J. Hamilton, of Stanway. Miss Eva Mountford, of Marton, is spending the term holidays with, her parents, Mr and Mrs 0. A. Mountford, Fcilding. At Feilding on Wednesday afternoon tho funeral of the lato Mrs Annie Bramwell took place, the lengthy cortego bearing testimony to the high respect in which the deceased lady was held. The Bov. E. O. Blamires took tho service at tho graveside end referred to tho life of Christian work given by one who was greatly loved. There wore many beautiful tributes from a wide circle of friends. The news of the death of Mrs Sybil Maud Hannah, wife of Mr James A. Hannah of Wellington, which occurred on Tuesday evening will be deplored by women’s organisations and art circles throughout the Dominion. Tho late Mrs Hannah had been ill for a considerable period. She devoted tho greater part of her life to a large number of beneficent activities, and was best known in connection with her work for the Wellington Plunket Society, of the executive committee of which she was a member. Mrs Hannah’s interests in the arts have also been well known. She had been a member of the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts, and at one time was on the council. She herself was an artist of no mean ability.
