From Our Own Correspondent. Rangitiksi Golf Club.

The second round of the Rangitikei Golf Club's championship W'll be commenced on Tuesday next ween, and all games are to be played by September 8. The draw is:—J. S. Tricker v. N. Amon, S. G. Goebel v. A. K. Drew, W. Robertson v. H. A. Signal, A. W. Amon V. H. J. Hendry. The third round of the Kangitlkei handicap commences the same day and the draw is:—L. Ransom v. L. V. Homes, R. O. DalrympJe v. G. D. Flower, Si. Rich v. S. W.. Ingram, J. if. Croucher v. E. W. Smart. The flag competition held last week was won by N. H. Amos. Miniature Rifle Shooting. The Bulls Miniature Rifle Club fired their weekly shoot on Monday night, there being rather a small attendance. T. Prichard headed the list with a pair of possibles, and S. Sharp showed a return to form for 137. Details are set out below:—T. Prichard 70, .70—140; S. Sharp 07, 70—127; C. M. Broughton 09, 08—137; S. Goebel 6S, OS—130; D. Lundy 05, OS--133; E. Petersen 08, 05—133; C. Anderson GO, 05 —131; R. McKenzie 60. The clus was to have fired a match against Sanson at Bulls this week, but the fixture has been postponed until next week. There will be no draw arndng the ladies this week and those not taking part in the championship will arrange their own games. Personal. Mrs. Frank Stockwell, of Feilding, jm visiting Bulls as the guest of Mrs. N. H. Amos. Mrs. Ireland, of Wellington, whose husband (the late Rev. George Ireland) was formerly in charge of the local Presbyterian Church, is visiting friends in Bulls. Miss Tj. Fagan, of Morrinsville, who has been visiting relatives in Sanson, is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. W. Haycock, of Bulls. Mr. TV McKenzie, of Ballance, who recently injured his leg as the result of a mishap, is convalescing with relatives in Bulls, Mr. Monroe, a former school master of Parewanui and now resident at Papatawa, Woodville, and his wife, are renewing acquaintances in Parewanui. Mrs. G. Stratford, of Palmerston North, who has been visiting Mrs. Charles Stephenson, Bulls, returned home on Wednesday.
