Hills gave a most enjoyable party at their residence on Saturday evening. The time passed pleasantly with games, competitions, and dancing, and a dainty supper was served. Those present were Mr and Mrs C. G. Hills, Mr and Mrs J. Croll, Mrs Brown, Mrs Godfrey, Misses L. and H. Hills, J. .Sherriffs, J. Campbell, N. Milverton, V. Royal, H. Rowland and V. Berryman. Messrs C. and L. Hills, D. Beil, W. Rumsey, J. and F. Hearsey, A. Fisher, R. Hill, E. Walker, E. Jewell, H. and N. Mabey, W. and J. Aldersley, C. Sherriffs, M. Birch and T. Jordan. Mrs Brown of Murumuru is the guest of Mrs C. C. Hills.
Mr and Mrs W. Corke, who have been touring the North Island, have returned home. Mrs W. Wilson and Misses Joan, Margaret, and Pauline Wilson are spending the school holidays in Napier.
On Tuesday evening the Angacan Ladies Guild held another of their popular euchre tourneys. There was a good attendance ■ and the players spent a very enjoyable evening. After the cards the ladies served a dainty supper and the prize winners were announced as follows;—Ladies: Mrs Lemberg 1, consolation, Miss M. Foss; Men: Mr B. Pratt 1. consolation Mr C.. Kennard.
