Successful Card Evening at Felling
■ Fruit blossom, double white Rtomr and blue hyacinths were , used to beautify tho lounge of the W.D.F.U. for a card evening held on Thursday under the auspices of tho combined Fcilding Croquet and Bowling Clubs. Bridge, "500” and euehro wero played, and the party, which was largely attended, was a very great success. In the absence of Mr J. S. Tingey, president of the bowling club, Mr L. Mureh, vicepresident, welcomed the patrons in a pleasing little speech, and during the supper interval Mrs Tingey presented the prizes. The winners were: Bridge, Mr C. hi. Sargisson; hidden number, Mr G. H. Chadwick; euchre, Mr White and Mrs O. C. Sporlc; ‘‘500,” Mrs Rodgers. The supper supplied by the ladies was an especially dainty one, and a substantial amount resulted from the party that provided a very enjoyable evening’s entertainment.
