Tho Times’ Berlin correspondent enys Hitler has appointed a national economic council consisting of seventeen 'prominent economists, bankers and industrialists to advise the Government on economic matters.

Registry offices in many cities arc besieged by crowds of young couples desiring to marry and take advantage of the loan scheme which has just come into force. They arc entitled to borrow 300 to 1000 marks in certificates exchangeable for furniture and household utensils. Tho loans are repayable at one per cent, monthly, but a quarter of the total loan is remitted for each child born in the next eight years. This is part of Hitler's scheme for «« restoring women to their Tight task of bearing children.” It is estimated that within four years a million women will bo withdrawn from industry and their jobs be given to men. The latter promises a dramatic protest and declares that future propaganda from aeroplanes will meet with armed resistance.
