From Our Own Correspondent. On Wednesday evening a fair crowd turned out to the Foresters’ euchre party and dance. A professional orenestra was in attendance and modern and old time dance music whiled away the hours. The hall was tastefully decorated for the occasion, and several visitors were present from long distances. Mr D. Siegel capably filled the position of M.O. In tho card room, a bright log fire enticed many to play the old game of euclu-e. After an enjoyable supper the results of the tourney were announced, the prizes being presented by Mr W. S. Page. Mrs Fredericksen was. the winner of the ladies’ sector, while Mr Frederickson annexed the men’s prize. Consolation. prizes were awarded Mrs E. cowdrey and Mr A. Diegel. The fortnightly euchre and dance in aid of the school funds took place on Friday night. Again the tables were filled to capacity, which shows that the efforts of the committee are appreciated. The ladies’ first prize, donated by the Farmers’ Co-op. of Feilding was won by Mrs E. Cowdrey. The men’s first prize, donated by Mr Porter, was won by Mr A. Hutton. Miss Struthers and Mr S, Williams took the consolations. "Mr W. Keith who presented the prizes also drew the attention of those present t« the fact that owing to the school concert being held in a fortnight’s time, there would be no euchre till a fortnight following the concert.
