Pohangina Valley

From Our Own Correspondent. Success attended the twenty-fifth annual grand dance of the Pohangina V alley Defence Bifile Club which was held in the Raumai hall on Wednesday evening, the record gathering including visitors from the city and all parts of the surrounding districts. The hall was artistically decorated with native foliage, while the club’s colours of purple and gold predominated in the tasteful!/ arranged paper streamers which lent brightness to the colour scheme in which pride of place was given to the Greer Challenge Shield, a magnificent example of the goldsmith’s and silversmith’s arts. The club’s secretary, Mr C. Spelman, and other members of the club had spared no effort and the success of the function was due to their enthusiasm and efficiency.
