From Our Own Correspondent. The Bulls defence Rifle Club fired their weekly shoot on Saturday afternoon, rain making conditions a trifle uncertain in the last range at 600 yards. D. Lundy who again topped the score was responsible for a possible at 300 yards. Details are as under:—D. Lundy 50, 45-05, H. Meads 45,45-90, J. Smillie 4G, 42-88, J. B. Robins 44, 3S-82. On Friday afternoon of last week, lady members of the Catholic church met at the residence of Mrs E. V. Wilson to bid farewell to Mrs J. Larmer and Aliss Ellen Larmer. The drawing room was specially decorated for the occasion, and the first part of the afternoon was taken up with euchre, the prize winners being Airs A. Blanchard and Airs D. W. O'Connell. A lucky number competition was won by Airs F. Garard. Alusical items were later contributed by Airs O'Connell and Misses Howell and Larmer. After tea had been served, Airs Wilson called upon Airs Larmer to accept a card table and Aliss Larmer a travelling flat box, and voiced tho regret of those present that the Larmer family should be leaving Bulls where their friendship had been valued for so many years. Airs Larmer expressed regret at leaving Bulls and returned thanks for the gifts she and her daughter had received, Inter-Club Golf.

A team of ladies from the Rangatira Golf Club paid a visit to the Rangitikel links at Bulls on Friday, and after a good day’s golf defeated the Bulls ladies by seven games to five. Detailed results are as follow:—Mrs Dean lost to Aliss Johnstone; Airs Goodall lost to Aliss Swainson; Airs Harris lost to Miss Al. Swainson; Aliss Price defeated Airs Taylor; Aliss Brookie lost to Airs Rowe; Aliss Palmer lost to Airs Gellston; Aliss Goodall defeated Aliss Aleads; Aliss Stevens defeated Airs Bartlett; Miss Fugan lost to Miss P. Hammond; Airs Russell defeated Aliss Bartlett; Airs Gould lost to Airs Johnstone; Airs Smart defeated Aliss Aldworth. Parewanui Euchre Party.

The fortnightly euchre party held on Friday in aid of the Parewanui School funds attracted a good attendance of card players. Aliss Alurphy won the ladies’ prize and Air Bracken tho men’s after a play-off with Mr D. AI, O’Connell. Consolation awards were made to Mrs O’Connell and Air Eric Gilman. After supper dancing was carried on until midnight, music being supplied by Aliss Murphy. Airs A, Trembatli obliged with an extra. Visit of College Students. On Thursday last week a party of 24 Massey College students visited Alessrs Ellis Bros.’ farm “Kille.ymoon,” Bulls where they inspected tho well-known Southdown flock, taking particular interest in the recent importations from Lady Lindlow’s English Flock. Air G. Fawkes, Air Ellis' stud shepherd, gave a short lecture on the points of Southdown rams which was listened to with great interest by the students, who, after taking tea, later left for Silverhope.
