At the Feilding Civic Club luncheon to-day' tlic speaker will be the Rev. G. 11.I 1 . Brown, of St. Andrew’s Church, Palmerston North, his snbjcjct being “Some Little Romances.” This evening the Rev. Clyde Carr, M.P., will speak at the Majestic Theatre, Feilding, on the subject, “Democracv or a Financial Dictatorship. Bridge players aro reminded of the monster• tournament to be held-at the Parish Hall, Feilding, this evening. Buth “contract” and “auction” will be played and it is anticipated that the fifty tables to be provided will be readily taken up. On Sunday evening the Oroua river reflected the heavy rainfall • in the back country over the week-end, but the cessation of rain saw the river drop again yosterday. Feilding yesterday enjoyed a fine day.
