LORD MELCIIETT RE-EMBRACES JUDAISM: United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Received Sunday, 9.50 p.m. LONDON, July 15. Lord Melchett (heir of the lato Sir Alfred Mond, tho noted industrialist), although of Jewish birth and hitherto a member of the Church of England in which ho was baptised, to-day cnbraced the Jewish faith in the prosenco of two witnesses at tho North London Liberal Synagaguc, tho Rabbi of which conducted the ceremony. Later it was stated that Lord Melchet’s change of faith has no political significance. Although no feels strongly tho Nazis’ persecution of the Jews, his chango is not the outcome of that movement, but is due to his contact with the Jews and Palcsine leading to a study of Judaism.
