The Wairakei team finally proved the better marksmen by a narrow margin of 16 points. Playing at Apiti on Saturday the senior football team were defeated by 10 points to 6. There was a very good attendance at the ping tournament on Saturday night, to raise funds for tho Anglican Church. The tournament was run on handicap lines and the winners of the evening’s trophies were Miss J. Harris and Mr. P. Jewell. The consolation prizes went to Miss Joyce Boshier and Mr. T. Morgan.
