Feilding Jockey Club
CONTEST FOR PRESIDENCY LIKELY In connection with the approaching annual meeting of tho Feilding Jockey Club it is understood that there will be a contest for the office of president, at present held by Mr L. Gorton. As Mr Gorton is not seeking reelection, the office will bo open for an election, and Messrs R. J. Harper and L. T. McLean, two of the most prominent officials of the club, will bo offering for this position. Both gentlemen arc so well known in sporting circles that their nomination for the office of president is bound to create more than usual interest in the club’s annual meeting.
