MANAWATU BEAT MART ON In tlic match played at Hokowhitu during the week-end the home team defeated Marton by a fairly convincing margin. Manawatu put a strong team against the visitors who, though beaten, were not disgraced, for the majority of the games w'ere closely contested. JUNE BOGEY COMPETITION A GRADE WON BY J. W. JONES The competition at Hokowhitu on Saturday was the June bogey handicap. There was a big field out and the A grade honours were annexed by J. W. Jones, who finished ono up on the colonel. Next in order were A. E. It. Joblin and G. J. Hay, who finished square. In the B grade competition (15 handicap and over) the honours were carried off by G.
