Mrs. D. H. 8. Riddiford, Longwood, Foatherston, is visiting her sister, Mrs. John Rolleston (To Kuiti). Dr. Mary Bowden, formerly of Hamilton, has taken up her duties on the stall of the Palmerston North hospital. The engagement is announced in an exchange of Olwin, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Cranficld, Hopelands, to Norman, fourth son of Mr. and Mrs. R. T. Mabey, Hopclands. Miss D. Foster left Fcildiug on Friday evening for Ohakune, accompanying her sister, Mrs. E. 0. Lightbaud and Mr. Lightbaud from there to Taupo and Wairakei, where they intend spending a brief holiday. Tho engagement is announced in an exchange of Beatrice Conduit!, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. G. C. Dernier, “Waipiko,” Cheltenham, to Brian Gwiuey, elder son of the late Mr. F. G. Connell, Yarrawonga, Victoria, and Mrs. 8. B. H. Connell, Fcildiug.
