Members of the Wellington Acclimatisation Society and Palmerston North branch met at Tokomaru on Saturday where trout arc being held for artificial spawning operations. So far 200,000 ova have been secured but enough Jack fish have oecn secured for a million ova. Trapping operations havo been very successful and it is hoped to secure all the hen fish desired (they “run” after the jack fish) in the course of the next ten days.
