Papatawa

From Our Own Correspondent A football team from the AVoodlands Rd School journeyed to Papatawa last Friday to try conclusions with a team from the local school. Tho ground was very slippery and the players found it very difficult to keep their feet. They played two twenty minute spells arid the game resulted in a win for Papatawa by 9-6, Davies scoring two tries and Alills one try for the local boys. A ping-pong match was played in the hall on Tuesday evening between Alaharahara and Papatawa. Alaharahara was the victors, winning 16 games to Papatawa‘s 11. However, some very enjoyable games were played and Mr Dickins, on behalf of the local players, thanked the members of the winning team for coming down and giving vs the opportunity -of meeting some new blood.
