Auckland Trotting Meeting Concludes

Tho Auckland Trotting Club’s winter meeting was concluded in overcast but lino weather, and tho track was soft. Thcro was a good attendance, and tho totalisator figures for tho day were £25,296 15s, as compared with £21,074 5s on the second day last year, tho increaso being £4222 10s. Tho figures for the meeting were £40,523, as compared with £35,029 10?, an increaso of £IS93 10s. Results. ROYAL HANDICAP, of 115 sovs.; 3.4 S class; 1$ miles. 4- AUTUMN LU 12yds (Stubbs) 1 6-G Pearl Parrish scr. Won by a long head; two lengths. Times: 3.44, 3.45 1-5, 3.46 3-5. Waskasu was the early leader, but Pearl Parrish took command across the back and led Autumn Ln ami Mountain Sun into the straight. Autumn Lu won narrowly on the post and Colleen Murphy was fourth, followed by Wiriwhata and Nelson Pirate.

Our Summer ran to tho front across the top and led from Jester and Bonnie Direct, and stayed on to win nicely, while Red Hope came from far back to take second. C. F. Direct Morning and Mountain De.l set tho pace over the first mile and nquarter and Direct Morning still led across tho back from Mountain Dell and Ivnwpie’s triumph. Near the trim Auto Machine ran up while Kewpm’s Triumph came through on the rails. Auto Machine finished too strongly for Kewpio's Triumph, who was clear of Peter Pirate. Times: 3.28 3-5, 3.27 3-5, 3.31. Chenwood led Free Logan and Raider past tho stand, and the order was unchanged along the back. Silver Bingen’ ran to tho front approaching the 'turn, leading Pukcmiro, Raider and Realty into the straight. Silver Bingen stayed on to win comfortably from Realty, who headed the other two. After the nice there was n meeting of the stewards, who distanced Nell Volo, giving Gay Parco the win,Memo Girl second and Bessie Parrish third.
