Feilding Stock Sale

The N.Z. Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co,, Ltd., report; on the Feilding sale. A heavy yarding of all classes met with the most animated sale of the season. Fat lambs opened strongly and prices improved as the sale progressed. Mr. A. Johnston, of Marton, topped tho market with a pen of Suffolk lambs at 26s 9d, many other lots selling at from 22s to 265. Fat ewes and wethers wore on a par with last week’s rates. Ewes in lamb were keenly competed for, a nice line of 2-tooths, r.w. S.D. rams sold on account of Mr. A. M. Henson | topping this section, making 23s 3d. I Storo lambs were .in demand, prices i showing a rise of 2s to 2s 6d on last I week’s sale. A heavy yarding of cattle sold freely. Dairy stock improved in values. Grown bullocks, steers and station-bred weaners were keenly competed for, prices showing a further sharp rise. S.D, rams, 11s to 11s lOd; inferior, Ss 3d to IDs; ewe lambs, Ss Cd to 13s Gd; wether lambs, Ss to 11s 6d; b.f. lambs, 10s to 10s lOd; mixed sex lambs, 9s to 10s 4d.
