MEDAL AND QUALIFYING ROUND. The third qualifying Tound for the senior and junior championships of the Feilding Golf Club was played on Saturday afternon in conjunction with tho June medal fixture. A large number of members competed and generally speaking play was true to handicaps. The best card in the A grade match was that of L. F. Gray who came home with an 88—16—72, three under the scratch score. E. M. Hare, W. Seifert and T. Williams all secured net 74’s, while D. J. I’ryde and H. Hewetson played to handicap form, returning with net 75’s. lu the B grade fixture E. H. McGruer, who gave promise some two or three years ago and then faded out, struck form to return a net 69. His gross score of 94 was nine strokes greater than the best gross of 85. R. L. Harding who went round in SO when playing against Manawatu a week ago was not successful in maintaining that form on Saturday, nevertheless he played true to his handicap, with a net 75.
