Scattered Showers Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. An - anti-cyclone still covers the Eastern Tasman and New Zealand. A cyclone is centred near Sydney, while a shallow westerly depression is advancing across the south Tasman. Winds: Southerly at first in the Far North, otherwise west to south-west predominating, light to moderate but freshening. Seas (New Zealand waters): Smooth to moderate but rising in Cook Strait and tho Far South. Eastern Tasman Sea: Winds mainly south-westerly at first, later veering to northerly, light to moderate but freshening. Weather: Mainly fair to line and milder; scattered showers developing in the western districts from Taranaki southwards and extending along parts of tho east coast of the South Island.
