Drought Broken in Australia
BENEFICIAL RAINS IN N.S.W. AND QUEENSLAND United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright Received Friday, 10 p.m. SYDNEY, June 23. Splendid rain has fallen or is falling throughout New South Wales, particularly in the wheat belt and grazing areas. Some of the southern and western areas have already had half s.n inch which will allay anxictv and assure winter feed for livestock. Parts of tho South Coast were drenched and the danger of floods is imminent.
Opportune rain is also reported from Queensland affording immediate relief to the drought-stricken grazing areas. The southern anil south-western sections of that State havo greatly benefited.
