The social activities of the Palmcrsten North IDS.A. Club continue to attract largo numbers of members each week, billiard and euchre tourneys being conducted for their entertainment. On Wednesday week last a snooker tournament on a 10-minutes handicap basis was held, when Mr. L. F. Trigg was the winner, with Messrs. Ci. Procter and C. W. .Smith lining the minor places. The highest scratch score in tiie series was rcturnpd by Mr. i’. J. Patterson, who compiled 07 in one game. Last Wednesday billiards engaged the attention of the cueists, when Mr. G. Procter gained tiie largest number of wins with Messrs. S. Gardner and L. P. Trigg second and third. The highest scratch score was compiled by Mr. 11. H. Best, who registered 58. The Friday night euchre tourneys have also been proving to be very popular and as many as 4-1 players have participated. Last week’s tourney attracted 04 competitors, and the conclusion of play round Mr. F. Bowles to be the wiunay with Messrs. W. F. Walshaw and if, Skcats annexing the minor awards. GET KID OE PILES !
