Return of SpivakovskyKurfz

Muisie lovers who were privileged to hear the concert given last month in tho Opera House by the three wonderful artists comprising the Spiva-kovsky-Kurtz trio, will bo delighted to know that they have decided to pay Palmerston North a return visit. They will present an entirely new programme in the Opera House on Tuesday, June 27, and no doubt, all w'ho appreciate the great works of the world’s great composers perfectly expressed, will make an effort to bo present. In their first concert in Palmerston North it wa3 difficult to say which the audience enjoyed most—the perfect unity of thought and feeling attained by the artists in their interpretation of Schubert’s trio in BElat Major, or the superb expositions given by the three as soloists. Kurtz left his auditors breathless and speechless by his wizardry on tho ’cello. Tossy Snivakovsky Tcvealcd himself a violinist of the first ray, while Jascha Spivakovsky, the pianist of the party, roused tho audience in a manner never before seen here. As, perhaps, our most authoritative critic said of his rendering of the Radocz March of Liszt; "It was the most consummate performance of that colossally difficult composition that has ever been heard here." As already stated, an entirely new programme will be presented, and the plan opens at the Central booking office on Friday next.
