A Gift Evening at Cinder Hill, Feilding
Miss Lcxio Younger, Cinder Hill, Feilding, whose marriage to Mr John Williamson, of Waituna, is to be celebrated later in the month, received a very pleasant surprise on Friday evening when paid a totally unexpected visit at her house by a largo party of friends from Feilding and tho surrounding districts. Each arrived with a parcel for the bride-to-be and these when later opened revealed a largo collection of charming presents for tho adornment of hor future homo. The evening wa3 spent very merrily with dancing, games and competitions, the latter being won by Miss K. McLean and Mr A. Campbell. Songs by Missos L. and G. Younger and Mr N. Shelton wore rendored during tho evoning and wero much appreciated. Mr W. Carthew at an opportune moment asked Miss Younger to take possession of her parcels, and In a happy little speech congratulated her and her upon their approaching marriage. Mr J. Williamson, on behalf of Miss Younger and himself, suitably roplted. Those present wore Mr and Mrs D. L. Younger, Mr and Mrs E. D. Younger, Mr and MrU A. B. Shannon, Mr and Mrs A. E.
