Cronquost, of Shannon, was tho next performer and presented a very delightful song, iicr accompaniment being played by Aliss K. Williams. The next item was ono which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. Credit must certainly be given to both tho young ladies who were so sincere and efficient in their acting. The theme for their dance was lliat woll-knoWn favourite, “The Rendezvous,” by Alcttcr. Both girls wero dressed charmingly for their parts and a very lino setting had been erected for tho Shepherdess. ” Tho hearty applause given by tho audience for mis item was certainly well merited by both girls’ acting. A humorous sketch was next enacted by Alt'. Knyvett, this being well done and drawing hearty laughs from everyone. The lust item on tho first portion of the programme was a play entitled “Tho Dear Departed,” the players being Alisscs Shirley and Mary Taylor and Easton, and Alessrs Colo and Kennedy.
