Tho annual sports contest ftor the Thompson Shield held at Levin between the pupils ot' tho Levin, Poston and Marton District High Schools again created considerable interest. In the final count, Levin wero declared the winners with a total of 381 points. Marton wore runners-up with 304 points, while Foxton’s total was 151 points. The previous winners were: In 1932, Marton, 1931 Levin, 1930 and 1929, Foxton.

SHIPPING The M.V. “Foxton” with a cargo of produce from Lyttelton and Picton arrived in Port at 11 p.m. on Monday. Discharging operations were commenced at midnight and were completed before breakfast. The vessel sailed again for Lyttelton at 10 o’clock yc'sterday morning. The M.S. “TTuanni” with a cargo of cement arrived in Port from Tarakolie at 11.40 a.m. yesterday. Discharging operations wero carried out yesterday and the vessel is expected to sail this morning for Picton.
