From Our Own Correspondent, Sandon Sports Club.

An adjourned meeting of members of tho Sports Club was held on Saturday evening when Mr. 11. J. Fagan presided over a fair attendance. Several apologies for absonco were received, niter a general discussion it was unanimously decided to hold a sports meeting on Saturday, April 1. All agreed that the ardont support given in tho past to tno school competitions for tho McKelvie and Hornblow shields warranted tho continuation of these competitions. Owing to tho financial position of the club it was decided to Cut out the dancing, open running and cycling events for this year. A few local events will bo included if sufficient inducement offers. Various matters of detail wore arranged and officials for the. day weio appointed as follow: —Supervisor, Mr. A. K. Drew; starter, Mr. F. W. Tostovin; timekeepers, Messrs J. McKelvie, J. G'aldow and Weston Smith; judges, Messrs J. W. Masters, W. Henson, A. Sanson and F. Read; judges’ steward, Mr. W. E. Pearce; judges’ secretary, Mr. K. Pcarcc; blackboard stewards, Messrs I. Edwards and T. Murphy; Press steward, Mr. M. Pearce; call steward, Mr. J. Fagan; running committee, Messrs C. Eglinton, J. Croucher and E. J. Bowater; competitions, Air. D. Sanson; gatekeeper, Mr. A. Matthews. Cricket. The Sandon cricket team visited Flock House on Saturday and as on previous visits enjoyed a very pleasant outing. Flock Houso batted first and their total was 63 when the last wicket fell. Bowling for Sandon, Edwards finished up with the fine averago of nine wickets for seven runs. Sandon replied with a score of 137. Going in for a hit tho Flock House boys did better and when stumps were drawn the score was four wickets for 68.
