AUCKLAND, Last Night,
The Australian swimmers made theii second appearance here when Australia and Auckland each won tw r o races.
N. Crump (Auckland) defeated C. Phillips by a touch in tho 300 yards intermediate scratch race in omins. 27 4-ssecs. Phillips made amends in the 50 yards scratch race, defeating Crump by a touch in 25 2-5 sees.
Tho 100 yards senior scratch race was won by a foot in 56 4-ssecs. by R. Thomas R. Frankham (Auckland) being second and V. Besomo (Australia) third, a yard behind, and F. Griffiths (Australia) fourth. Bcsomo defeated Frankham by three yards in tho 300 yards senior scratch race. Tho time, 3min. 29secs., was slower than that made by Crump for the distance. O. Griffiths did not com-
pete in tho senior races as he sustained an eye injury when playing water. EOI9-
