Light and Scattered Showers
WELLINGTON, Last Night
General situation: A shallow depression is centred north of the Bay of Plenty and another is advancing across tho Tasman Sea. The pressure is high to the east of tho South Island. Winds; Light, but increasing east, to north winds.
Seas (N.Z. waters): Rather rough, with an easterly swell north of Akaroa and in Cook Strait; otherwise moderate.
Eastern Tasman Sea: Moderate to fresh north-east to northerly winds, with rather rough seas. Weather: Cloudy to overcast, with mist or fog at many places and with rain gradually extending from the north over most districts, with some heavy falls between Hawke s Bay and the Bay of Plenty, though mainly light and scattered in tho southern half of the South Island. Temperatures -warm.
