Sonic of the buses in Aberdeen have expanded an inch in breadth since they were placed on tho road, and, as a result of the rigid ruling of the certifying officer, it sum of £250 had to bo spent in ‘slimming ’ tho vehicles bach to normal. Thrco years ago a number of new buses wore purchased and passed all tho necessary tests. Recently they were inspected by the certifying oflicor, who found that live of the buses whose maximum width three years ago was 7 feet (j .inches, now exceed tJint width by 1 1-8 inches.
